Snatch Lists: Disenchanting crafted gear

Here's a quick set of items I've been investigating lately - using nothing more than an enchanter with a relatively high skill (mine is currently at 500) and about 15 minutes of auction house scanning a day.



There's a bunch of crafted gear, that depending on your server's AH prices, is used in abundance for leveling professions. You can capitalize on this with an enchanter by DEing relatively low cost mats for raw essences/dusts, and flipping them for nice margins.

The nice thing about these is that unlike random greens, you've got a consistent supply, and can focus on some pretty quick groups of items.

The trick appears to be getting things over 316 item level, as this is where you get some really nice celestial essence returns. From a single item you can expect to get either 2-3 GCEs or 2-5 hypnotic dust. I haven't run any exact numbers yet, to be honest I've been too busy DEing like mad to count. My rough "expected" numbers appear to be either 4 dust or 2 GCE though. On my server this puts the value of a single crafted item between 40-100g!

Look into these, and start snatching them up. Better yet, if you need to level any of these professions yourself still, take advantage of an enchanter if you have one and reduce the cost of your skillups - you might even make a profit if you get lucky!

Personally I've been having great returns with Redsteel Belt, Redsteel Boots, and Stormforged Belt. I'd advise trying all of them though, and seeing what works on your server. If you can move essences at any decent rate, or offload them as scrolls, this is a great way to make a few hundred gold a day with minimal effort.

Note that leatherworking and tailoring only seem to produce greens up to 306 item level. You can certainly expand into these markets too, but these should only net you 1-3 dust or 1-3 lesser celestial essence. The same rules apply, but you'll need to pick these up for far less base cost to make it worthwhile.
